The South Lake Tahoe Team is one of the busiest backcountry rescue teams in the country. Our team of professionally trained volunteers are dedicated to providing search and rescue services to the residence and visitors of El Dorado County. The South Lake tahoe team primarily handles searches and rescues in the 200,000 acres at the the east end of the county. As a smaller contingent of EDSAR remotely located, the SLT team is an "all conditions" team responding to overdue and injured people, night and day, in all terrain and weather conditions.

The El Dorado County Sheriff Search and Rescue - Tahoe Team is one of the busiest backcountry rescue teams in the country. Our team of professionally trained volunteers are dedicated to providing search and rescue services to the residence and visitors of El Dorado County. With over a million acres of forest land, EDSAR responds to overdue and injured people night and day in all weather conditions.
