Local CPR Training Resources NEW
The Sheriff's Office, and Cal OES guidelines, require all searchers to maintain a current First Aid & CPR certification. Generally any course that covers Adult, Child and Infant CPR, and AED, with a live demonstration component satisfies the requirement. Usually these courses have something like "Professional Rescuer" in their title. If you are not sure if a course you are looking at or not ask the Deputies, (530) 621-5895.
The county Human Resources office offers FA/CPR training at no cost to SAR, however since COVID their ability to run regular classes has been unpredictable. Occasionally teams will run their own recertification classes with one of the SAR volunteer instructors for a nominal fee, so pay attention to announcements. If you don't want to wait or need something that fits your schedule, below are some links to some local vendors that have been reliable. These vendors are not sponsored or endorsed by EDSAR, ESARC, or EDSO and are provided solely for reference.
